Y’all…shoutout to Elizabeth & Jared & their families for putting together a gorgeous day, braving the cold, and hosting a rockin’ reception. Their day was a cold one, but you wouldn’t know it by these photos. These two emanate warmth wherever they go. And Mercury Hall was a beautiful backdrop for their day!
The photography industry is all about connections…well, that’s any industry, really. I was fortunate enough to get connected with this sweet couple through one of my closest friends from the World Race. And boy, am I thankful! These two are so fun, so full of joy, laughter, and wit. Totally willing to make fun of each other/themselves, and fully own who they are. I’m so thankful that this industry brings me clients that become friends. I can’t WAIT for their big day in November. If it’s half as fun as Sunday afternoon was…it will be a win for me!
A day full of emotion, sunlight, laughter, and beautiful things. This cold December day couldn’t damper the warmth that Ryan & Aaron have for each other, and the love they have for their family & friends. My trusty pal Laura Gilligan and I had a blast photographing such a perfect day. The whole team at The White Sparrow was just fantastic, and boooyyyyy….do the Gilbreaths know how to throw a party. And Whataburger late-night snacks to send their guests off with? These are my kind of people, y’all.

From the words of the new mom:
“The thing I love most about being a new mom is how much my baby needs me right now. It’s the thing that makes being a new parent the hardest and the most wonderful… and I make sure to remind myself that someday I will miss that whenever she’s fussing at 3am.”
In the words of the mommy-to-be:
I decided to get maternity photos because it hit me that I would never be pregnant for the first time ever again. It’s such a special and unique time and at 9 months pregnant, I was already feeling nostalgic about it being over. Once I saw the photos, any anxiety I had about the pregnancy coming to an end lifted because this perfect moment in my life had been beautifully captured and I was able to get excited about the delivery and meeting our baby girl. -Claire
When I moved back to Texas from Louisiana, in all honesty…I was a little bummed. I was skeptical as to whether or not the weddings in Texas could hold a candle to those in Louisiana with the great food, bumpin’ dance floor, live bands, and stunning southern historical settings. Oh man….was I wrong. While the weddings in Texas are different than Louisiana, they have a special kind of charm all their own. There’s a slower pace, an emphasis on traditions and family, and unparalleled southern charm. And this wedding was a perfect example of that! Sarah & Zach were elementary school friends, but only reconnected in their twenties over Facebook. And the rest is history. Biermanns, thank you for letting me & my second-shooter Lucy document your big day! It was truly a joy! Enjoy, friends!
I’ve known Grace for many years…we were old church camp friends going back to junior high! We had shared many a summer at Austin College in Sherman, TX, learning more about God, and staying up way too late in the girls dorms with all kinds of crazy traditions. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, getting to photograph old friends when they hit a new season of life like an engagement is such a blessing. I’m so sad that I’m unable to shoot their wedding, but can’t wait to see the life she & Levi create together. Y’all…can you even imagine that they were nervous about their session?? They’ve been together 9 years…and their photos look like they’ve been together for 29. How sweet are they?!!
Taz - How charming are these photos! Lovely intimate moment, Love your work!
