Way overdue in posting these! I absolutely loved shooting this sweet little mini-session for the Sanders family this spring. Royce & Tiffany and their gaggle of girls were an absolute blast to photograph, and we had a gorgeous evening to do it, too!
And what’s extra fun for me, is that Tiffany is my personal trainer, and now close friend! It’s been so fun to get to know her and her family this year. She is an absolute gem of a human and exceptionally skilled trainer. I’m thankful that fitness brought her into my life!
Oh, friends. This is another sweet one. Kalah and I have been friends for FOUR YEARS now! The bulk of my twenties…it’s crazy how much life we have shared together, even though we’ve never lived in the same city! We were on the same World Race squad, have visited each other too many times to count in each other’s respective cities, walked with each other through life’s hilltops & valleys. From the day we met, she has talked about having me take her wedding photos one day. And here we are! Engagement photo time! It was an amazing weekend in Nashville & I’m insanely happy for she & Jeremy and all that God has in store for their future.
Oh, this sweet family means the absolute world to me. I have had the distinct privilege of being part of their lives since we were young children. Sarah was my babysitter, our moms were best friends. We grew up together in church, roomed together at camp…I always thought she was just the coolest. Then I photographed her wedding to Justin several years ago, and have been there for every milestone since. Life, love, loss, celebration. I’m so thankful that they continue to trust me with documenting their biggest moments. My life and job are richly blessed, y’all. Welcome to the world, Jude! You are already so very loved!
When Shelby reached out to me about scheduling this session, and cast her vision for what she was hoping to capture, I was so excited! She & her husband Nick have lived in this 600 sq ft house that was built in 1920, and are uprooting their lives in Houston to move to Colorado! They wanted to commemorate this season of their marriage, and the little piece of history that they had occupied. So I was super stoked at the trip to H-town to hang with them & their precious pup, Kirby for the afternoon. Their home is precious, and I loved getting to photograph them!
This was a special one for me, y’all. The now groom in these images is an old, dear friend that I have known since he was a floppy haired freshman horn player in the Westlake Band. Fast forward 10 years…and I just photographed his proposal to his sweet bride-to-be, Ivy! Avery planned for months, orchestrated all sorts of surprises (including me waiting in the wings to take photos)…and after a private wine tasting at a gorgeous winery in Fredricksburg, he escorted her out onto the patio where he delivered his speech, got down on one knee, and amidst lots of tears (from both parties), a ring landed on her finger. What a sweet moment it was! Feast your eyes, friends. These two are just too precious for words.
Louisiana folks sure do know how to party. I just LOVE my opportunities to go back to where my business first began, celebrate in such a fun-loving, vibrant culture, and photograph such lively days. Mallory & Matt put on an amazing party at a GORGEOUS venue in Covington. Feast your eyes, friends!
