This one was a doozy, y’all. In all the best ways. Blair, the beautiful bride, is a friend of one of my 2016 brides, & she and her now-husband David are absolute gems of humans. Seriously. After spending the night with a grieving friend at the hospital until 8AM on their wedding day, I showed up exhausted & emotionally drained. But I was welcomed by a gaggle of friendly, warm, and inviting women at the Omni suite, who immediately offered me lunch & mimosas and asked me how my day was going. Instantly, I felt like I was one of the gang, not just a hired professional. That boosted not only my spirits, but my energy. And thanks to awesome second shooting duties by Marissa Simon, and a stellar videographer buddy in Atlas Defay, there was a great team at the helm. Now my only bummer feeling about this whole situation is that the Hoffmans are a military family, and they don’t live in Austin, so we don’t get to hang out. 🙁 But besides that, this wedding gives me all kinds of good feels.
